With ever-increasing emphasis by local and state governments to dramatically change pension plans being offered to their employees, including law enforcement officers, it is both necessary and needful that police officers begin the process of retirement planning at a much earlier point in their careers. This program will provide a basic understanding of various standardized retirement programs, financial management systems, business models, and other information designed to assist officers to better transition from the work environment to retirement.
